A Week of Peruvian Indulgence
From 28 July to 1 August, UMA invites guests to experience the vibrant spirit, flavour and energy of Peru with a week-long celebration of Peruvian Independence.
For one week only, experience UMA’s exclusive Journey Through Peru set menu - a vibrant celebration of Peruvian flavours and culinary heritage. Our A La Carte menu remains available throughout the week.
On Friday 31 July and Saturday 1 August, UMA will host two cultural showcases featuring Wayra Peruvian Rhythms and live Andean musicians Huaira, bringing an authentic celebration of Peru’s coast, Andes and Altiplano regions to Perth.
Part 1 - Coast Region (6:00PM, approx. 15 minutes)
A vibrant opening performance by Wayra Peruvian Rhythms, including:
Marinera Norteña - Peru’s national dance, performed by a couple with track music
Afro-Peruvian Dance Suite - Landó, Festejo and Valentina, performed by four dancers
Part 2 - The Andes & Altiplano (7:45PM, approx. 40 minutes)
A live Andean music experience by Huaira, followed by:
Valicha Dance - A joyful Cusco-region dance with live music
Carporales Finale - A powerful, high-energy Altiplano dance
Guests dining outside these performance windows may not experience the live entertainment.
